Milo vs Milk

Eversince Nurin, Iman's first best friend started to drink Chocolate Milk, Iman has declared war with Milk! She also requested to drink Milo. Of course Mummy know better than to give Milo to Iman at that age.. so Mummy bought Milk in Chocolate flavour. That seemed to work fine with Iman. Since then she will say Milo when she wants her Chocolate Milk and we let her continue to refer to it as Milo.

During the awake state, Iman will never ever drink milk! But in her semi awake state she will just gulp down anything we feed into her mouth. So, Mummy and Ayah decided that we still want Iman to drink her Anmum Essential Milk, so we feed her the white milk with honey when she is in her semi-conscious state when we got up for solat Subuh. She seemed to be enjoying gulping down the milk. But in her awake state, she will be upset to realise that she has been drinking milk! It was rather funny to annoy her by showing the almost empty milk bottle! She would be upset and insisted that she doesn't drink milk! So we always told her that she is fair because she drinks milk. That she will turn brown if she keeps drinking her 'Milo'.

Yesterday evening Iman was angry to see a new box of Anmum Milk that Mummy bought for her. As usual she insisted that she doesn't drink milk. In her rage she said "Mummy ni .. drink too much coffee... that's why Mummy black!" Ha..ha..ha... Now the joke turned on Mummy for using that kind of line with Iman.

Homework time again..

It's homework time again and Mummy always get anxious with the idea of uneventful session of homework, knowing that Iman needs a lot of coaching and encouragement when it comes to homework.

Today Arissa's parents were running late, so they have asked Mummy to bring Arissa home with us from school. Upon arriving home, Mummy decided to get both of them to do the homework together. It proved to be the best decision Mummy made. They started to be competitive and wanted to finish the homework faster than the other person. We finished the homework in 10 minutes! Great job!

Don't want to go to school

Last Friday when Mummy picked Iman up from school, Iman was already telling Mummy about not wanting to go to school anymore. So Mummy told Iman "don't think about school anymore. Tomorrow is going to be the weekend and we are going to watch Princess Wishes and after that we are going to stay in hotel." So, Iman was cheered hearing all those plans.

Yesterday (Sun) evening, Iman started to talk about school again. Re-enforcing her decision about not wanting to go to school! Ayah just left for Bangkok and Mummy thought that maybe Iman was just acting out because she misses Ayah. The funny thing is that Iman said "Mummy, you said I don't have to think about school. Why Mummy is asking Iman to go to school?" Mummy was taken aback that Iman remembers Mummy said "don't think about school" on Friday. It was quite funny having to explain to Iman that the reason Mummy said that was because it was going to be the weekend, so Iman doesn't have to deal with the issue yet.

Anyway, Mummy didn't really force Iman the idea about school so much last night. Mummy just said "if Iman doesn't go to school, and Mummy have to go to work, how can Iman stay at home by yourself?", to which Iman replied "Tak pelah. Iman can go and stay at Nenek's house." Mummy noticed Iman had a slight temperature last night and get her to take some medicine. Iman jumped at the idea of being sick and not able to go to school! As long as she doesn't have to go! We went to bed without really talking about school as Mummy wanted to make sure that Iman could sleep peacefully.

This morning, when Iman woke up, she was in quite a terrible mood. Insisted that she didn't want to go to school and that she has already told Mummy that! Now accusing Mummy of not listening to her! She was actually crying sadly with tears. It was really sad to see Iman crying like that. It is so unlike her to be crying like this about school. Mummy's heart was torned apart to see Iman cry like that. When Mummy started to have a heart-to-heart talk with Iman, trying to understand the reason why she didn't want to go to school, Iman was really crying. Expressed that she doesn't know her A, B, C well and she gets tired if she has to do so much of homework. Mummy tried to explain to Iman that she needs to go to school to make sure she grows up to be a clever girl. That statement brought tears again.. "Iman tak pandai.. Iman is not clever!" Oh Gosh?! How do Mummy handle this? Mummy told Iman that Iman is a clever girl and Iman has to go to school so that Iman can learn more. Iman said "Iman get tired when Iman have to do work in school." So, Mummy just said "OK. Mummy will talk to Teacher Kawuri (pronouced Gowri) and tell her not to give so much work to Iman." That somehow does it! Iman turned around and started to pick the pants she wanted to wear to school and was ready to take her bath! It was it?! The idea of doing work in school is actually scarring her off school?!

Well.. Mummy was just glad that Iman finally decided to go to school, willingly! Alhamdulillah.. Hope tonight Iman comes home ok and Mummy don't have to deal with not wanting to go to school again tomorrow. This whole thing is really tiring.. Thank God Mummy don't have to deal with this everyday since Iman was 2 and started school. Somehow only lately Iman has issues about school.

Sleeping Beauty Song - An After-effect of Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes

From "Sleeping Beauty"
Music by Tchaikovsky
Lyrics by Sammy Fain and Jack Lawrence

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
Yet I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

But if I know you, I know what you do
You love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

Sceneries around Putrajaya and KL

Mummy is just facinated with photography. Here's some sceneries taken in Putrajaya and KL.

The hot air balloons were seen when we were having breakfast. The pictures were taken using the Sony Cybershot that can zoom 6x only. It was a very hazy and cloudy morning.. therefore Mummy is not so happy with the outcome of the hot air balloons.

Rushed back to the room to get my JVC Everio Videocam that can zoom 30x for still image and 70x for video, but the hot air balloons were no longer there for Mummy to capture.

Boyfriend

Iman was at Nenek's house when she declared that she has a boyfriend! She actually said to Arissa, "Kita ada boyfriend. Nama dia Didi. Best tau ada boyfriend!" Mummy was shocked to hear that! Somehow Iman understand the implication of the word boyfriend now. Then she went to Nenek and told her "Nenek, Iman ada boyfriend nama Didi!". Oh gosh! My 4-year-old daughter is growing up so fast!

Then she saw this picture, she said that the girl is Iman and the boy is Didi... What is happening?!

Hot Air Balloon..

Here's a video captured when a hot air balloon in the shape of Nescafe mug passed my view. It was an awsome view! Hand a bit shaking but not a bad video to share.

A weekend in Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside

Iman has been complaining about not having a holiday in hotel for so long. Since the complaint was genuine, Mummy decided to fulfill Iman's wish to have a holiday in a hotel. Since we can't go for holiday away, Mummy thot checking into a hotel in Klang Valley would be just fine for Iman.

Due to Mummy's wish to see the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Putrajaya, and also that Mummy and Iman would already be in Bukit Jalil on Saturday afternoon for the Disney on Ice - Princes Wishees show, after a very drastic thinking Mummy decided to give Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Resort a try. Booked online and just informed Ayah and Iman that we were going to have a holiday in hotel, in Putrajaya! It would be Ayah's and Mummy's belated 7th Anniversary celebration since we didn't go to any hotel for our anniversary the weekend before. Oh well... it was a good decision to go there! For all the right reasons...

After the Princess Wishes show, Ayah picked Iman and Mummy from Bukit Jalil and we went to have lunch at Awan Besar Rest Area. Iman was getting sleeping and tired after the show so was being very cranky that the thought of going to hotel was not such a good idea at all. Iman was teary and grumpy. When we got back into the car, Iman took her nap and when we arrived in the hotel Iman was still in quite horrible mood. The sight of Mummy taking pictures upset and angered Iman! It was quite funny actually to see Iman in such mood. Too bad Mummy couldn't take picture of Iman in that mood! Ha..ha..ha..

We arrived in Pullman about 4 pm! Had to wait another 45 minutes to get a roow with a nice view. We finally got room 3303 in the Borneo Block facing the lake. It was worth the wait. The scenery was nice and the room was nice too.

Some pictures of the Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Lobby while waiting to check in.

Here's some pictures of the Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Room 3303 and some in the restaurant where we had our breakfast.

The Hotel has 4 main blocks - The Malay, The Indian, The Chinese (Lotus Wing) and The Borneo. All of them have the typical architectural structure according to the style of each block. Even the lobby of each block will have its typical style. We got a room in the Borneo block.

Here's some pictures of the Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Resort - the surrounding buildings and blocks.

Mummy thought it was just beautiful that I couldn't stop taking pictures!

Here's some pictures of Iman swimming in the pool:

Disney on Ice : Princess Wishes

Iman and Mummy with Achik and Arissa went to watch Disney on Ice : Princess Wishes today. Iman has been waiting excitedly for the event. Mummy told Iman about the show a month ago and Iman was really really looking forward to it. It was a good Mother-Daughter event to share!

We decided to take the lrt to Bukit Jalil as we didn't want to face the Saturday traffic jam. It was a good decision as Iman has never taken the STAR lrt before, the trip was already an adventure. Mummy was rather worried that Iman would be sick, so Mummy was all prepared with a plastic bag in Mummy's handbag to handle the situation.

We had to pick up the tickets 2 hours before the show! It was really tough trying to get 2 girls entertained for 2 hours while waiting for the doors to be opened. We let Iman and Arissa played at the bouncing castle for a while, but since it was in the scorching hot sun, we had to stop them. We hang around in the Food Court and we had to keep answering the question "lambat lagi ke nak tengok Princess Wishes?" over and over again...

Once we were inside the building, it was much better... We went in to see where our seats were then went out to see the merchandises being sold there. Everything was so expensive! Mummy tried very hard to talk Iman into selecting things that Mummy feel worthwhile to buy. Somehow Mummy ended up spending RM25 on the Programme book (which was very worth it as Iman kept on going thru pages of those book to look at the pictures of those 7 princesses and 7 princes); RM30 on a Minnie Mouse Headband (which Iman later said that was too heavy to wear); RM55 on a picture taken with Mummy and placed in the Disney on Ice frame cum huge fridge magnet (quite ok since it is nice and we won't be able to buy it anywhere else); RM25 on the bucket (with picture of princesses on the bucket) of nice popcorn and lastly, RM30 on a plastic bag of cotton candy that came with a crown with Mickey's ears (don't like the idea of Iman eating cotton candy but was bullied into buying it!). So that was RM175 spent on merchandises only! As Mummy said to Nenek and Alang.. since Mummy have the money to buy those things, it was rather hard to say No! So, this time Mummy decided to oblige. Hope Iman will learn to appreciate all the things that Iman got.

Once the show started, Iman was so excited! Iman clapped and cheered so loudly that every dollar Mummy had spent to bring Iman to see the show was all so worth it!

Here are the pictures taken before and during the show:

Trip to KL Tower

Iman has been asking Mummy and Ayah to go to KL Tower. Somehow that's the one place that Mummy and Ayah didn't think was worthwhile to visit since we didn't think Iman can appreciate much the view from the top.

It was Mummy and Ayah's 7th wedding anniversary and Ayah wanted to treat Mummy to a celebration. Ayah was giving Mummy the chance to decide whether Mummy want a quiet lunch or dinner or a lunch or dinner with Iman around too. Since Mummy was just back from Sydney and Ayah was back from Turkey, Mummy decided that we (3 of us) should all go for a celebration together. Iman shouldn't be left out of the celebration!

So, Mummy decided that we should all go for lunch @ the rotating restaurant on the KL Tower! And to mak sure that Iman can see and appreciate the view it would be better that we go for lunch! That's how the idea was decided!

On 14 March 2009, we all drove up to the KL Tower. It was Mummy's first visit since Mummy got married! It was quite an adventure for Mummy and it was definitely a good choice to bring Iman coz Iman was really really happy to be up there. Iman was not scared at all to sit on the glass latch to see the sceneries around the tower. It was a great trip for all of us.

Mummy was really glad Mummy decided to go to KL Tower. It was meaningful to celebrate our anniversary with Iman where she was so happy to be!
