Serious talk about death

Iman and Mummy were at home last nite while ayah went to his usual Friday nite ritual - Baca Quran as Iman refers to it. Iman came into Mummy's room when Mummy was watching TV. At that time the TV was showing the advertisement about the danger of dengue. It was showing the scene where the doctor and nurses were trying to resuscitate the girl but couldn't and the girl died.

Iman asked Mummy, "what happened to the girl, Mummy?"

Mummy answered, "the girl died because she had dengue fever. That's why Mummy and Ayah are worried whenever you have fever! We want to make sure that it is nothing serious like that."

Iman asked Mummy, "Mummy takut Iman meninggal ke?"

Mummy answered, "Yes, of course!"

Iman asked Mummy, "Mummy will be sad if Iman meninggal? Mummy sad because no more anak?"

Mummy answered, "Yes, Mummy would be sad to lose Iman."

Iman asked, "Will Ayah be sad too?"

Mummy answered, "Yes, Mummya and Ayah will be sad!"

Iman said matter-of-factly, "Mummy kena ada anak lain lah if Iman dah meninggal."

Mummy said, "But Mummy don't want another child. Mummy just want to have Iman saja."

Iman said, "Iman don't want to meninggal lah Mummy."

Mummy quickly said, "OK... Mummy pun tak nak Iman meninggal."

Iman said, "Iman tak suka meninggal sebab Iman tak suka duduk dalam kubur."

Mummy was rather speechless by then.

Iman said, "Iman takut duduk dalam kubur. Iman takut nanti ular datang. Iman sometimes are not nice, so ular will come and bite Iman in the kubur."

Mummy was just shocked with Iman's knowledge about the life in kubur and just hugged Iman and tell her that we will make duaa so that we all will have long life together.

Mummy is just amazed of how much a child can retain the information she hears.

Mummy-Daughter Time

Iman's school is closed for the whole week due to 2 cases of H1N1. Mazaya and Nadiah from K1B have been diagnosed as positive for H1N1 last Thursday and they have been hospitalized in Ampang Puteri. Mummy decided to keep Iman away from school on Friday and later was informed that Iman's school will be closed during the school holiday.

Mummy decided to take leave the entire week and spend time with Iman. Today is Mummy's third day on leave. It was fun to spend time together.. We had very lazy days where we woke up late and Iman and Mummy would just lie down in bed for as long as we wanted. We watched cartoon shows together and then when Mummy got tired of cartoons, Mummy just moved to the living room and started to watch Mummy's shows. Iman would then go between the bedroom and the livingroom whenever Iman felt like having Mummy's company. We would hang out togehter and chat about whatever Iman felt like talking. Mummy never thought that Mummy would have so much fun and savouring every minute of it. Maybe being a stay at home mum is not such a bad idea after all.

On Monday, Iman followed Mummy to Mummy's office for a while then we came home and waited for Ayah to come home. Yesterday Iman wanted some sausages so we went to AU2 Setiawangsa to get some supplies from Jusco. Mummy decided to send Mummy's car for washing, so we took some time to do some sand-art work, then Iman played 2 rounds of Kid's Percussions. After that we went to get the supplies in Jusco. It was a good time out for Iman too..

Today Iman wanted to go to Jusco again but Mummy had to put Mummy's foot down this time. Today we are going to stay at home and just enjoy time at home.
