Toy Story 3

Iman has been anxiously waiting for Toy Story 3 to come to the cinema. After watching Shrek Forever After in 3D, it was an obvious choice that Toy Story 3 should be watched in 3D as well. Ayah has declared that he was not going to watch Toy Story 3, so it was a definite thing that Mummy would watch the movie with Iman.  When Mummy asked Iman whether Iman wants to watch the movie just with Mummy or we should join her cousins, Iman told Mummy that she wanted to go with her cousins and Mummy!

Mummy told Achik about Iman's wish and Achik promised that she would inform Mummy when they decided to go and watch Toy Story 3 so that we can join them. When Achik told Mummy that they wanted to go watch on Saturday evening, 26th June Mummy was worried that we would not be able to finish on time as Mummy have a wedding to attend. Iman reluctantly agreed to go with Achik and her family if Mummy could not join. It was very heartbreaking for Mummy to see that Iman really wanted Mummy to come along with them. Luckily Uncle Shuk managed to get tickets for 2 pm show, which meant that Mummy could join Iman and Achik and her family!

We went to Mid Valley in the morning and the original plan was for Ayah to drop-off Iman and Mummy at MBO Ampang and Ayah would go home for 2 hours and come back to fetch Mummy, while Iman will go back to Achik's place to spend the night. In the end Ayah decided to watch The A Team in another theater while we watch Toy Story 3 in the other. Rather a good decision so that Ayah didn't have to go back and forth.

Toy Story 3 was good! Loads of good values to learn from, such as loyalty to friends, being there for friends and of course about growing up. There was a scene where Andy's mum went into Andy room and felt sad to see Andy's stuff were packed away since Andy was leaving for college, she said to Andy "I wish I can be with you forever." Iman was somehow touched by that scene that Iman squeezed Mummy's arm in the darkness of the theater. Mummy's throat tightened and tears came to Mummy's eyes thinking that one day Mummy would be experiencing similar feelings when it is time for Iman to leave home. Mummy just pat Iman's hand acknowledging that Mummy understand how it feels. That was a very touching moment!

All in all, we had a good time. The movie was great but the 3D effect was not so great.

Mother Daughter talk

Mummy was watching TV on the bed in the bedroom when all of a sudden Iman decided to join Mummy and lay down next to Mummy. 

Iman asked "Mummy, how come the man in the story The Enchanted has a little girl but he doesn't have a wife?". Iman was referring to Patrick Demsey as the man who is a widower with a little girl. So Mummy explained that his wife died, so the little girl doesn't have a mum. Then Iman said "Giselle is her step-mum, right?" Giselle is Amy Adams. So Mummy said, "Yes! Giselle is her step-mum." 

Suddenly Iman asked, "Mummy, so are you a Mummy or a Step-Mum?" A weird question from a 5 and half year-old, but needed to be answered. So, Mummy said "I am your Mum and I am your brothers' and sisters' Step-mum. They have their own Mum too." Iman was happy with Mummy's answer and happily cuddled while we continue to watch TV together...

Iman is a funny and wise and matured daughter and Mummy love you for all that! I love u!

Iman and the pink teddy bear

When Iman was Cik Na's house, K.Nadia decided to let Iman has the pink teddy bear that Abang Azim won in a funfair.

Here's Iman with her newly acquired pink teddy bear:

We told Iman to call the teddy "Nad" after K.Nadia's name but Iman insisted to call it "Teddy" and would not give in to our suggestion. At 5+ years old, Iman is very firm with her decision already and Mummy is glad for this.

Iman's First Frisbee Experience

Iman had the Frisbee for quite sometime now.. It was given by her school. But since we never went to any parks, Iman didn't get to experience playing the Frisbee at all.

We were going to Cik Na's house when Iman suddenly found the Frisbee in her toy-box. Mummy suggested that Iman bring the Frisbee along so that Iman can try to play it with Abang Hafidz. Luckily Nadia, Hafidz, K.Ida and even Ayah Nan were nice enough to entertain and teach Iman how to play it.
