Iman's Adventure @ KLSMC

Ayah has to undergo a hand operation. So both Iman and Mummy went along with Ayah so that we can wait for him together till his operation is over.

Ayah was assigned to a Day-care room for pre-operation. Here's some pictures of Iman and Ayah before the operation:

Iman was actually busy watching movie on Disney Channel when the Anesthesiologist came to brief Ayah on what he was going to do and what to expect. Iman seemed oblivious to him as she seemed to be concentrating on her movie. Surprisingly after the Anesthesiologist has left and just before Ayah had to be prep for the surgery, Iman said to Ayah "Don't worry Ayah. You will sleep and when you wake up your hand will be all ok." Almost as if she has heard what the Anesthesiologist has said. Or maybe she did hear it as we found that she is a good listener.
By 11:45 a.m. Ayah was wheeled into the Operation Theater and the adventure began for both Iman and Mummy! We had to kill about 6 hours of time in the Pre-Op room with no bed and no settee in it! The only thing there was a study table where Mummy could put Mummy's notebook and started to work on some office work. Mummy brought Mummy's new notebook and the external hard-disc with loads of movies that Azim (Iman's cousin) has helped to download. Among 30 something movies downloaded, luckily there were 3 movies that Iman could enjoy - The Princess and The Frog, Up and Tooth Fairy!

Here's the pictures of Iman enjoying the movies:

We didn't even eat lunch. Iman just ate some chocolate and cookies. Mummy went down to find something to eat but the restaurant was not in operation yet. Mummy ended up drinking some oat drink. Both of us started to get anxious when Ayah didn't come out by 3 p.m. as we expected. Iman said "Are they not done yet with his hand?" Mummy couldn't help but smile hearing Iman's remark. Iman is so matured.. She totally didn't create a scene eventhough Mummy can understand the waiting was really annoying for her.. Not being in her own environment and stuck to only limited movies to watch. She was really being a very good daughter! Mummy wouldn't have survived the waiting without her being there.

Ayah finally came back to the Pre-op room at 4:30 p.m. but was not fully awake until about 7:30 p.m.! By 6:30 p.m. we were moved to another room for the night. Cik Na and Ayah Nan and Nadia were there along with Ayah Di, Aunty Lina and Dedek. This room was better as there were plenty of sofa and chairs for everybody to sit on.

Here's some pictures of Iman and Ayah during the night when Ayah was recovering from the effect of Anesthesia:

Mummy didn't bring anything for us to sleep at the hospital coz we thought that we would be going back to the house after the operation. Everybody thought it would be better if we spend the night there with Ayah. Cik Na came back that night with a bedsheet and a comforter for us to use when we sleep on the sofa.

Here's the pictures of the sofa that was converted to be our bed for that night. Somehow it was comfortable enough that Iman slept very soundly. Mummy was so glad!

The sofa before being make-shifted into our temporary bed for the night.

By the next morning, it was good to see Ayah was back being himself and ready to be discharged. We had lunch there, took some pictures then finally left to go home. It was a nice adventure, but home is always a better place to be! And Mummy made sure Mummy thanked Iman for being a nice behaving girl. Thanks again, Iman! You are a great daughter! I love you!!

Iman - Solat

Iman sometimes get very into performing solat that she will solat by herself. Now that she can read most of the phrases herself, it motivated her more to perform the solat by herself. Mummy thought it was rather cute to observe Iman performing the solat that Mummy had to capture these pictures...

It was the day before Ayah's operation, so Mummy told Iman to make doa for Ayah so that Allah will take care of Ayah during the operation. When asked what did Iman say during the doa, Iman said "Oh Allah, please make my Ayah better." Mummy was proud to have a daughter like Iman who at this tender age can already make doa for her parents... Hope Mummy and Ayah have done a good job to make Iman this type of person. And Mummy and Ayah are making doa that Iman will continue to be 'anak yang solehah' till she is older and wiser.. Amiin...

Yesterday, Iman was so hardworking. She was reading so many books - the Iqra' book, Peter and Jane, the Bahasa book. Mummy was so happy to see Iman reading and being self-motivated to do it. Hope Iman will continue to like reading.

Mummy's new Toy

Ayah bought for Mummy an advanced birthday present - a Sony VIAO netbook! While testing out Mummy's present or also referred to as Mummy's new toy, Mummy discovered this facility to snap pictures and have them framed with the available choices. Here's some pictures of the Fun Frame Mummy managed to do:

Iman on MC

Teacher Aza called Mummy when Iman suddenly had high temperature on Thursday 14 April 2010. Mummy had to go back early to pick up Iman and worked from home.

By Friday 15 April, Iman was still not well. So Mummy had to work from home again to babysit Iman. Mummy thought Iman would be very weak and would lie down all day.. Mummy was wrong! Iman seemed to be so alert and was so excited about doing some work. Iman ended up doing some mathematic work that Iman came up herself.

Here's some pictures captured during Iman's self-motivated moments:

Iman's school project

One day Iman came back with the instruction from the teacher to bring an onion to school. So Mummy packed the onion in Iman's bag and off she went with it to school. A few days after that Iman came back all excited about the onion has grown!

Iman's word: "Mummy! You did great! You gave me a good onion! Mine is the first one to grow!"

Ha ha ha.. Mummy must have chosen the right onion that's all ready to grow!

A few days after that Iman brought home the onion and started to take care of it at home. Every morning before Iman went to school, she would remind Mummy to water the plant. And every evening when Iman was back from school, she would water the plant... without fail! Mummy can see that Iman is a very responsible person... When given a responsibility, Iman would carry out the task to the t! Mummy is very proud of Iman!

Iman is now waiting for us to harvest her project by cutting off the long stem and cook it! So far Mummy don't feel like disturbing or destroying that school project yet!

Here's the pictures of the onion:
